Stated to have been on 6th April 1941 a Blenheim crashed on take off from Thornaby airfield but no further details are known. Blenheim T2224 is suggested as the identity although T2224 had sustained a buckled nose and propeller slashing just two days earlier and it seems unlikely it could be repaired so quickly.
