Blenheim R3766 was built to contract 1485/39 by Rootes Securities at Speke and delivered to the RAF in May 1940. After acceptance it was issued to 15 Squadron on an unknown date at Wyton. It was later transferred to 114 Squadron probably in November 1940 at Ouston when 15 Squadron ceased to operate Blenheim IV's. The aircraft moved with the squadron to Thornaby on 2nd March 1941 and following this incident it was repaired on site. The aircraft was almost certainly transferred to 1 AGS at Pembrey on or about 21st June 1941 when the unit formed. On 21st August 1943 it sustained Cat.W/FA when an engine failed and the pilot attempted a forced landing at Fairwood Common but crashed and was injured. The then pilot had just recovered from injuries suffered on 2nd August when Blenheim Z6351 crashed.
