Hampden P4298 at Finningley airfield.
On 20th July 1941 this 25 Operational Training Unit aircraft was being flown on a training flight. On landing at Finningley at 03.15hrs the aircraft was being taxied off the flarepath when it struck a taxying post. Some airfield lighting had not been re-lit following their extinguishing due to believed enemy aircraft in the general area. The taxying post was not lit.
