Hampden P2093 at Lindholme airfield.
On 22nd March 1941 this 50 Squadron aircraft was used for a non-operational night test flight. Driving rain and mist was present over Lindholme at the time that aircraft heavily and the port undercarriage collapsed. One member of the crew received injuries.

Wireless Operator / Air Gunner - Sgt David Craven RAFVR (755391).
? - AC1 Harold Fish RAFVR (1113826). Injured.
David Craven flew a Tour with 50 Squadron in 1941, he later served with 15 Squadron and was awarded the DFM, Gazetted on 15th June 1943.
Hampden P2093 was built to contract 952962/38 by English Elelctric Co.Ltd. at Samlesbury and was received by 24 MU on 21st June 1940. After a lengthy period of MU
storage it was taken on charge by 50 Squadron at Lindholme on 1st September 1940. It sustained Cat.B/FA damage at Lindholme on 22nd March 1941 as stated above.
It was taken away by road and was repaired by English Electric Service Aircraft Section. Once repaired it passed to 20 MU on 17th June 1941 before issue to No.1 A.A.S. at Manby on 22nd July 1941. On 29th April 1943 it sustained minor Cat.Ac/FA damage in a flying accident that was repaired on site. On 23rd July 1943 Cat.B/FA damage was recorded
after it overshot on landing at Manby. It spent time as various factories in the coming months and may not have been totally airworthy. On 16th December 1943 it was received by 44 MU but was struck off charge on 17th February 1944, probably as an obsolete aircraft.
