At 00.30hrs on 28th April 1941 this 25 Operational Training Unit aircraft was landing at Finningley airfield following on a training flight. The aircraft's speed on landing was too fast and the aircraft overshot the landing area. The pilot was temporarily blinded by a floodlight reflection in a cockpit mirror and believed he was going to hit two members of ground crew he applied full brakes and swung the aircraft. Unfortunately it then ran into an area that contained a heap of stones and a mound of earth on the airfield boundary and received minor damage.
