On 17th July 1941 this 35 Squadron aircraft was damaged at Linton on Ouse airfield. It was almost certainly struck by Halifax L9495 that crash landed there on the same day.
No AM Form 1180 exists for it being damaged in a seperate incident.

Halifax L9490 built to contract 692649/37 by Handley Page Ltd. at Radlett and was allotted to 8 MU at Little Rissington on 24th October 1940 but was not taken on charge by 8 MU on until 1st January 1941. It remained with 8 MU until 16th February 1941 when it was taken on charge by 35 Squadron at Linton on Ouse. This aircraft was one of the first Halifaxes to be delivered to an operational squadron, it took part in the first operations to use the Halifax type. As a result of the damage sustained at Linton on Ouse on 17th July 1941 it was initially assessed and given Cat.B/FA but after a further assessment it was struck off charge on 27th July 1941.
