Tiger Moth BB812 at Yeadon airfield.
On 2nd July 1941 this 20 E.F.T.S. aircraft overturned on landing at Yeadon airfield and was slightly damaged. Nothing more is known about this mishap.

This aircraft was by The De Havilland Aircraft Co. Ltd. at Hatfield and was first registered on the civilian register as G-ADUC to Scottish Aviation Ltd. at Prestwick on 9th July 1936. It was operated by S.A. Ltd. under the guise of 12 E&RFTS until 9th March 1939 when the unit was re-designated as 12 EFTS and this aircraft remaind with them at Prestwick. On 12th October 1940 the aircraft was impressed by the RAF and given the RAF serial BB812 with the civil registration being cancelled. On 1st June 1941 it was transferred to 20 EFTS at Yeadon and as a result of this mishap on 2nd July 1941 Cat.B/FA was the assessment. It was transported by road to D.H. Ltd., at Hatfield for repair and on completion of the repair it was allocated to 29 EFTS at Clyffe Pypard on 6th September 1941. Nine days later 29 EFTS officially formed and was operated by Marshall's Ltd, the aircratf served with 29 EFTS for nearly five years with an unblemished record. On 1st August 1946 it was flown to 5 MU at Kemble for storage where it remained until the following month when it was transferred to the R.N. but it remained in store at Kemble. On 15th October 1946 it was flown to RNAS Stretton and taken on charge by the Aircraft Handling Unit. It remained in store until being taken on charge by 727 Squadron at Gosport on 16th August 1948 but was then struck off charge as surplus to requirements and scrapped on 8th December 1949.
