Unidentified Hampden in Concord Park, Sheffield.

On 8th July 1941 this unidentified aircraft ran out of fuel while over the Sheffield area and the pilot made a good wheels-down landing in Concord Park, Sheffield with no damage to the aircraft. It was flown out from the site a few days later. The date of 8th July 1943 is also quoted but I believe this to be an error, by this date in the War not many units were operating Hampden's in England in 1943. It will be recalled that there was a more serious accident in Concord Park some months previously in which another Hampden crashed.
