Unidetified Beaufort/Beaufighter near Sheffield.
This incident is one where very little is known and the only mention found to date is reported in No.16 Balloon Centre, Sheffield's ORB, it states that
on 13th March 1941 a "Beaufort" fighter crashed, nothing more is known and a location is not given. No.16 Balloon Centre were based in Hemsworth Road, Norton,
Sheffield, which may give a clue as to the location as Norton is south of Sheffield. The incident could well have occurred outside of Yorkshire.
