Hurricane P3930 at Leconfield airfield.
On 7th September 1940 the pilot of this 302 Squadron aircraft braked hard at Leconfield airfield which caused the aircraft to tip on its nose. Minor damage resulted.
Pilot - F/Lt Franciszek Jastrzebski PAF (P.1296).
Franciszek Jastrzebski was killed on 25th October 1940 when 302 Squadron Hurricane V7593 crashed into the English Channel. His body washed ashore and he is now buried at Kiel War Cemetery.
