Anson N5201 at Thornaby airfield.
At 15.05hrs on 29th June 1940 this 608 Squadron aircraft was being taxied around Thornaby airfield prior to a convoy patrol flight when the pilot lost control, it left the perimeter track and collided with the wall of an air raid shelter. It was felt the pilot was taxying too quickly with the wind behind the aircraft.
