Anson N4907 at Spurn Point.

During the evening of 4th December 1940 this No.12 Flying Training School this aircraft was flown on a dual instruction training flight. When he arrived in the circuit of his home airfield (Grantham) he lost sight of the flarepath and eventually left the airfield area. The pilot must then have got himself significantly lost and the aircraft later ended up flying in the Humber area. Search lights eventually homed the aircraft and a forced landing was made at Spurn Point at 21.15hrs with some damage to the aircraft.
