Hector K9719 at Catterick aerodrome.
On 28th April 1938 this 26 Squadron aeroplane struck a telegraph pole, believed to have been in the area around Catterick. On the subsequent landing at Catterick aerodrome the undercarriage was slightly damaged.

Charles Inglefield was killed on 11th April 1942 when Dominie Z7263 crashed at Doncaster.
Hector K9719 was built to contract 521856/36 by Westland Aircraft Ltd. at Yeovil and was taken on charge by 26 Squadron at Catterick on 17th August 1937. The incident on 28t April 1938 saw a Cat.M/FA damage assessment and a repair on site at Catterick. On 11th April 1939 it was flown to 19 M.U. at St. Athan where it was stored until 20th September 1940 when it was taken on charge by Staverton Station Flight. On 3rd August 1941 it was flown back to 19 M.U. at St. Athan. On 9th August 1941 it was taken on charge by No.2 A.A.C.U. at Gosport but on 4th September 1941 it overshot on landing at Roborough and tipped on it’s nose. Cat.W/FA damage was the damage assessment and it was struck off charge on 30th September 1941.
