Audax K8330 at Leconfield aerodrome.

On 6th May 1938 the pilot of this aeroplane was making an approach to land at Leconfield aerodrome when the engine cut out. The aeroplane lost height and undershot the aerodrome, it then stalled and came to rest upside down. It was on the books with No.4 Elementary and Reserve Flying Training School at the time who were based at Brough, why it was being flown to Leconfield is not known. Hangers were being erected at Leconfield aerodrome at this time, but it is unlikely to have had any link with the incident.
