Demon K8186 at Church Fenton aerodrome.
On 22nd September 1938 this 64 Squadron aeroplane undershot a night landing at Church Fenton aerodrome and collided with a gun post. It appears that fairly major damage resulted as it was not repaired.

Demon (Turret) K8186 was built to contract 439133/35 by Boulton and Paul Ltd. Wolverhampton and was initially delivered to No.4 Equipment Depot on 25th September 1937 at Ruislip. During February 1938 it was taken on charge by 64 Squadron at Church Fenton. As a result of the crash at Church Fenton on 22nd September 1938 Cat.W/FA damage was the damage assessmnet and it was eventually struck off charge on 1st December 1938.
