Fury K7275 at Catterick aerodrome.

On 16th June 1938 this 41 Squadron aeroplane took off from Catterick aerodrome so that the pilot could undertake a training exercise including making simulated gunnery attacks on another aeroplane. After making a normal landing at Catterick aerodrome a swing developed which saw the aeroplane tip onto the port wing tip and the nose. Minor damage resulted.

Fury K7275 was built to contract 421941/35 by Hawker Aircraft Ltd. at Kingston and was initially taken on charge by 25 Squadron at Hawkinge on 2nd October 1936. During October 1937 it was transferred to 41 Squadron at Catterick. As a result of the mishap at Catterick on 16th June 1938 Cat.M/FA damage was the assessment and it was repaired on site. Later during January 1939 it was transferred to 43 Squadron at Tangmere. On 6th February 1939 it was flown to 5 M.U. at Kemble. On 18th June 1940 a conversion to Ground Instructional Airframe 2032M was complete and after this nothing more of the aeroplane is known.
