Whitley K7252 at Linton on Ouse aerodrome.
On 29th June 1938 this 58 Squadron stalled while landing at Linton on Ouse aerodrome and the resulting heavy landing caused the undercarriage to collapse. The elevators locking has been given as the reason for the stall occurring.

Whitley K7252 was built to contract 421118/35 by Armstrong Whitworth Ltd. at Baginton. In March 1938 it was allocated to 78 Squadron but was then diverted to 58 Squadron and was taken on charge by 58 Squadron at Linton on Ouse as a new aeroplane on 25th April 1938. The mishap on 29th June 1938 saw a Cat.R(b)/FA damage assessment. On 12th August 1938 it was recovered by No.4 M.U. at Ruislip and transported by road for a repair in work at Airwork Ltd, Croydon. Once airworthy on 10th November 1940 it was flown to 9 M.U. at Cosford. On 25th November 1940 it was taken on charge by 9 B.G.S. at Penrhos. On 10th May 1941 it sustained minor Cat.A(c)/FA damage there when the undercarriage collapsed on landing. 43 Group D.A. inspected it and a repair on site was carried out. On 1st September 1941 it was returned to 9 B.G.S. charge. On 10th October 1941 it collided with Whitley K9041 in the circuit at Llandrog killing seventeen in total. Cat.W/FA damage was the damage assessment and it was struck off charge on 31st October 1941.
