Hart K3135 at Catfoss aerodrome.
On 15th August 1938 this Hart (Special) of No.7 Flying Training School was making an approach to land at Catfoss aerodrome when it undershot and stalled. The aeroplane ircraft hit the ground hard and the undercarriage collapsed. It sustained repairable damage. It was probably one of a number of No.7 F.T.S. aeroplanes and pilots undertaking a gunnery training camp at Catfoss at the time.

This aeroplane was built to contract 190684/32 by Hawker Aircraft Ltd. at Kingston and was originally built as an Audax but was converted to a Hart (Special) during production. On 5th October 1933 it was delivered to Home Air Depot at Henlow. On 28th April 1936 it was taken on charge by No.7 F.T.S. at Peterborough where it was coded "-23". On 10th January 1938 it overturned on landing at Peterborough, Cat.M/FA damage was the damage assessment and it was repaired on site. On 15th August 1938 it received a Cat.M/FA damage assessment following the incident at Catfoss that again appears to have it seen repaired on site and returned to the unit. On 22nd February 1941 it was flown to 24 M.U. at Ternhill then on 3rd April 1942 it passed to 18 M.U. at Dumfries before going to 45 M.U. at Kinloss on 8th December 1942. On 26th October 1943 it went to 56 M.U. (Salvage) at Inverness where it was broken up. It was struck off charge on 2nd November 1943.
