Fairey IIIf S1356 at Leconfield aerodrome.

On paper, this aeroplane was on the books with the Home Aircraft Depot, at Henlow. In general terms the Home Aircraft Depot undertook a proportion of the repairs and overhauls necessarily that arose during the use an aeroplane, it also appears to have been where aircraft were transferred to after being held in a manufacturer's works factory before being issued to specific flying unit. On 5th May 1937 it appears to have been damaged near Brough during an attempted forced landing. The aeroplane must have been repaired on site and it was then further damaged at or near Leconfield aerodrome on 28th May 1937. I have been unable to confirm either of these incidents with anything in the form of contemporary documentation to prove this incident existed should anyone be able to assist by supplying it.
