Wellesley K7746 near Auckley.
During the late evening of Friday, 17th December 1937 this 7 Squadron suffered engine failure on the approach to land at Finningley. The aeroplane lost height, it struck a hedge on Hayfields Lane, south of Auckley and to the north-west of the aerodrome and crashed. The propeller and undercarriage were damaged but the two crew escaped injury. The aeroplane was left blocking the road.
