On 5th February 1937 the pilot of this 166 Squadron aeroplane misjudged the landing at Leconfield and ran into a boundary bank and hedge. On this date 166 Squadron completed their move from Boscombe Down to Leconfield and was probably landing during this move on what would have been an unfamiliar aerodrome.
