On 6th April 1937 this No.9 Flying Training School aircraft's engine cut on landing at Thornaby airfield, upon landing on soft ground it's wheels dug in and
the aircraft overturned. The aircraft was later repaired.

Hart K5810 was built to contract 410420/35 by Vickers Ltd at Weybridge and was delivered to 9 FTS on 13th March 1936. After this incident Cat.R/FA damage was recorded and it was repaired. It was later transferred to 3 ASU on 10th May 1938 for storage and later issued to 28 E&RFTS at Meir on 3rd October 1938, from there it was sent to on to 6 FTS at Little Rissington on 3rd September 1939. It suffered a Cat.R/FA accident on 11th October 1939 and was taken to 50 MU for repair on 18th Januuary 1940 but the damage was recatagorised at Cat.W, it was finally struck off charge on 30st January 1940.
