Hawker Audax K5172 at Catfoss aerodrome.

On 31st May 1937 this No.9 Flying Training School aircraft swung on landing at Catfoss airfield and tipped onto its nose. The unit was normally based at Thornaby but was probably at Catfoss so pilots could undertake gunnery and bombing practice on the ranges near Catfoss off the Yorkshire coast. Cat.M/FA damage appears to have been the damage assessment as it was repaired on site and returned to the unit.
