Demon K4544 at Catterick aerodrome.

On 22nd February 1937 this 41 Squadron aeroplane was flown to give the pilot formation flying training. On return to Catterick the pilot made a landing but with the tail abnormally high. When he applied the brakes the aeroplane appears to have sustained damage, possibly either because the tail rose further and the propeller clipped the ground or when the tail then dropped to the ground from a height. The AM Form 1180 for this incident is somewhat unclear as to how the damage occurred. The damage was only minor as it was returned to 41 Squadron and further damaged in July 1937.
