On 9th April 1937 this No.8 Flying Training School aircraft landed at Catfoss airfield but ran into mud, the wheels became bogged and the aeroplane tipped onto its nose. The unit was normally based at Montrose and was at Catfoss as part of an air firing and bombing training camp. The aircraft was repaired on site and was returned to the unit. A week later one of the unit's Hart's crashed at Robin Hoods Bay and a Gauntlet crashed at Ravenscar on the return flight to Montrose.
