On 25th June 1936 this No.9 Flying Training School aircraft taxied into Hart K5816 at Thornaby airfield and both aircraft sustained slight damage though both were repaired.

Audax K5247 was built to contract 389426/35 by Bristol at Filton and was delivered to 9 FTS on an unknown date. It suffered Cat.R/FA damage
in this collision at Thornaby and was later returned to service before being damaged again in a Cat.R/FA accident on 29th November 1938.
It was not repaired after this second incident and was given a Maintenance Serial 1236M on 19th January 1939 and was probably converted into
an instructional airframe.
