Hawker Audax K5164 at Catfoss aerodrome.
On 9th September 1936 this No.5 Flying Training School aeroplane struck a ridge on landing at Catfoss, this caused the aeroplane to bounce and it came to rest with the undercarriage collapsed. No.5 F.T.S. were based at Sealand but must have been at Catfoss to undertake gunnery training exercises on the nearby North Sea ranges. The aeroplane was repaired on site and returned to the unit.
