Avro Tutor K3325 at Thornaby aerodrome.

On 29th December 1936 this aircraft was parked at Thornaby when it was struck by Hart K6457.

Tutor K3325 was built to contract 195190/32 by A.V. Roe. and was delivered to Kenley on 11th December 1933. It was transferred to P.D. on 24th July 1934 but re-issued to 2 FTS on 5th October 1934 before being transferred to 9 FTS on 6th April 1936. It was later repaired having been assessed with Cat.R/FA damage after this accident at Thornaby in December 1936. Following repair it was transferred to 2 ASU on 25th June 1937 and then issued to 1 FTS on 11th February 1938. It was later flown to 1 ASU on 2nd August 1938 and finally to 71 MU where it was struck off charge on 22nd March 1939 with a total flying time of 962 hours.
