DH.60x Moth G-EBVK near Morley.
On Saturday, 21st September 1935 this aeroplane was being flown from Broxbourne to Yeadon when the pilot became lost in poor weather in the area between Morley and Batley. A forced landing had to be made in thick fog in a cow field near Scholecroft Farm, alongside Scotchman's Lane, Morley. The aeroplane narrowly missed farm buildings but was damaged when it struck a hedge with the fuselage, engine and a lower wing being damaged. The pilot and his passenger escaped injury. The aeroplane was owned by the Herts and Essex Aero Club and was based at Broxbourne.
