Gordon K1737 at Catfoss aerodrome.
On 31t July 1932 this 40 Squadron aeroplane landed at Catfoss but ran into 40 Squadron Gordon K1744. Both aeroplanes sustained damage.

Gordon J1737 was built to contract 35535/30 by Fairey Aviation Ltd. at Hayes, Middlesex and was delivered to 40 Squadron at Upper Heyford
on 13th April 1931. Following the damage sustained at Catfoss on 31st July 1932 Cat M/FA damage was the damage assessment, it was repaired on
site and was returned to 40 Squadron use. On 7th December 1933 it was converted into a Ground Instructional Airframe 603M at Halton and had
amassed 582 flying hours in total.
