Reynard glider damaged at Baildon Moor.
On 23rd September 1932 the Bradford and County Gliding Club ran a flying meeting at their Dobrudden Farm flying site on Baildon Moor. The ground on part of the moor is pocked with a number of historic small quarry workings that were basic holes or pits in the ground. Unfortunately, while when a pilot was making a landing in the club's Reynard glider it ran into one of these pits and sustained minor damage. The damage was repaired overnight at the farm.
