Dickson glider damaged at Baildon Moor.

On Tuesday, 17th May 1932 the Bradford and County Gliding Club held a flying meeting at their flying site near Dobrudden Farm, on Baildon Moor. Unfortunately their Dickson primary glider sustained damage during a landing when it struck a rock with rigging wires. It appears to have damaged the port wing to some extent that it required replacing. The Bradford Gliding club were one of a number of small clubs that existed in the early 1930s across the West Riding of Yorkshire, some later amalgamated when member numbers dwindled after the early surge in interest.
