Hinaidi K1918 at Catfoss aerodrome.

Between 14th September and 10th October 1931 10 Squadron, based at Boscombe Down, attended their annual practice camp at Catfoss where they undertook bombing and gunnery training. On 17th September 1931 10 Squadron Hinaidi K1919 collided with parked Hinaidi K1918 at Catfoss while taxying. Both aeroplanes sustained damage.


Hinaidi K1918 was built to contract 27635/30 by Handley Page Ltd. at Cricklewood and was delivered to 10 Squadron at Boscombe Down on 29th April 1931. As a result of damage sustained at Catfoss on 17th September 1931 it sustained minor Cat.M/FA damage that saw a repair on site being carried out. After further service with 10 Squadron it was flown to Hawkinge on 3rd September 1932 for storage and it was struck off charge at a later date.
