Blackburn Ripon S1269 at Catterick aerodrome.
On 15th June 1929 this aeroplane is believed to have been damaged in a landing mishap at Catterick aerodrome. Why this Fleet Air Arm aeroplane was at Catterick is not yet known. Information is sparse regarding this incident. I have no contemporary information to refer to. The aeroplane appears to have been with 462 Flight, Fleet Air Arm and was one of six that operated with HMS Furious in 1929. It was taken back to Brough for a repair in the works factory by Blackburns.
