Fairey Fox J7949 at Catfoss aerodrome.
On 8th June 1929 this 12 Squadron Fairey Fox swung while taxying at Catfoss aerodrome and collided with a 99 Squadron Hyderabad. A-Flight of 12 Squadron were on annual detachment to Catfoss from Andover and 99 Squadron were detached from Upper Heyford with both squadrons undertaking gunnery and bombing practice off Skipsea whilst in Yorkshire. The Fox was damaged and was unservicable for ten days owing to a lack of spares being available. The incident is mentioned in passing in the 12 Squadron orb but does not mention the pilot's name. Additional information is sparse regarding this incident.
