Blackburn Bluebird G-EBTB, believed damaged at Sherburn in Elmet airfield.

Believed to have been during early March 1929 this aeroplane appears to have been damaged in some form of mishap and probably at Sherburn in Elmet airfield where its owners, the Yorkshire Aeroplane Club, was based. The damage must have been severe as it was not repaired. I have been unable to locate any newspaper report that relates to this incident. The only reference to the incident does not identify the aeroplane but must relate to it. Their weekly newspaper updates stated it was being flown during the week ending 5th March 1929 but then not the week ending 11th March 1929 so presuambly the incident took place between 4th and 10th March 1929. Their newspaper update states on 1st April 1929 that the club received G-AABD from Blackburn Aeroplane Company in place of G-EBTB and made up their fleet to three aeroplanes.
