Blackburn Bluebird G-EBRF at Sherburn in Elmet.

This aeroplane was owned by the Yorkshire Aeroplane Company and operated from Sherburn in Elmet airfield in early 1928. During a flight on Sunday, 19th February 1928 a landing was made on Sherburn in Elmet cricket field, unfortunately the aeroplane tipped up slightly and the propeller tip clipped the ground slightly damaging it. It briefly left the club with no servicable aeroplanes. The Yorkshire Aeroplane Club made weekly reports to local newspapers and this incident was briefly recorded but it did not fully identify the aeroplane. Following their other reports G-EBRF was being used by them but then dropped off their reports briefly which suggests this was the aeroplane damaged in this incident.

Pilot - Name unknown.

The aircraft was repaired and later went to L.J.C.Mitchell in September 1928.
