SE5a E5816, believed crashed in the Tadcaster area.

Information regarding this probable incident is sparse and I have no contemporary information to refer to. Believed to have been during May 1919 this No.38 Training Depot Station (T.D.S.) aeroplane is said to have been damaged in some form of flying accident in the area of Tadcaster aerodrome. A post found on an internet forum suggests the incident may have been at nearby Copmanthorpe with the aeroplane coming to rest on its belly and with the propeller smashed.
