Airco DH.9 D9820 near Catterick aerodrome.
On 16th November 1918 the pilot of this aeroplane applied too much rudder while making a turn at 500 feet above the ground close to or over Catterick aerodrome, the aeroplane stalled and the pilot lost control, it spun into the ground seriously injuring him. He was taken to Catterick Military Hospital. The aeroplane was on the book with No.49 Training Depot Station at the time of the mishap.
