Avro 504 E3270, location unknown.
On 12th September 1918 this 76 Squadron aeroplane was being flown on a training exercise that took place with a strong wind present. During the exercise the pilot carried out a number of steep "S" turns but owing to the strong wind flying speed was lost and it stalled. A crash resulted at 13.30hrs but where is not stated in the records. It was probably in the Ripon or York areas where the squadron had aerodrome sites. The pilot sustained injuries.
