Avro 504K D2059 at Catterick aerodrome.

On an unknown date, believed to have been during October 1918 the engine of this aeroplane choked while flying over Catterick aerodrome. The pilot lost control and it crashed, it came to rest hanging on telegraph wires near wooden aerodrome buildings with the lower left wing being cut through. It was probably a No.49 Training Depot Station aeroplane as this was the only flying unit based at Catterick at the time.

Pilot - Sgt Miles.
