Pilot - 2Lt Corlett Harry Alvord USAAS / RAF. Injured.

Corlett Alvord was born on 2nd October 1893 in California, USA but was working in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada prior to beginning military service. He appears to have undergone flying training in Canada prior to sailing to the UK to continue flying training. He was probably one of the USA Air Service recruits that made it through to pilot training in North America prior to being posted to the UK. His service file begins with his posting to Doncaster on 10th August 1918. The injuries he sustained on 3rd September 1918 saw him admitted to hospital though he appears to have resumed flying. He remained in the UK until being repatriated in November 1919. He died in February 1960 and is buried in California, USA.
