Maurice Farman S.11 Shorthorn A7097 (probably) in the general area of Tadcaster aerodrome.
During the morning of 11th May 1918 this No.14 Training Squadron aeroplane was being flown on a training flight when the pilot encountered thick mist. At 07.45hrs he attempted to make a forced landing but hit a tree and crashed. The pilot sustained injuries.
