On 22nd March 1918 the pilot of this No.14 Training Squadron aeroplane was attempting a landing at Bramham Moor aerodrome with a mist affecting visibility. The pilot misjudged things and the aeroplane came to rest upside down.
Pilot - 2Lt Joseph Henry Young RFC. Injured.
Joseph Young was born on 13th July 1895 at Carlisle and had served in the London Regiment prior to transferring to the Royal Flying Corps in Summer 1917. He was granted a commission in the RFC on 20th December 1917. He appears to have recovered from his injuries to some extent sustained at Bramham on 22nd March 1918 but later resigned his commission on account of ill health on 23rd September 1919.
