Maurice Farman S.7 Longhorn N5334 at Redcar aerodrome.

On 26th July 1917 this RNAS Flying School aeroplane crashed on landing at Redcar aerodrome with the wings and undercarriage being reported as damaged.

Pilot - Name unknown.


Longhorn N5334 was built by The Pheonix Dynamo Company in Bradford and was delivered to RNAS Killingholme AAP (Store) on 5th February 1917. After assembly and testing it was accepted and transferred to RNAS Redcar on 2nd April 1917 where it joined the Flying School. Following the accident on 26th July 1917 it was repaired. It was then damaged again on 14th October 1917 at Redcar. Following the surveyors visit on 7th December 1917 it was deleted on 14th December 1917 for use as "spares".
