On 23rd July 1917 this aeroplane was reported as wrecked in an accident at Redcar aerodrome. Precise details are not known. The aeroplane was on charge with the RNAS Flying School at the time.

Avro 504 N5265 was built by Sunbeam Motor Car Company at Wolverhampton and was delivered to RNAS Killingholme for assembly on 27th December 1916. On 9th May 1917 it was transferred to RNAS Redcar where it sustained severe damage on 23rd July 1917. After assessment it was deleted from stock on 8th September 1917.
