N5264 following one of the two mishaps at Redcar.
On 21st July 1917 this RNAS Flying School aeroplane was damaged at Redcar when it tipped up onto it's nose on landing on or near the aerodrome.
Pilot - Name unknown.
Avro 504 N5264 was built by the Sunbeam Motor Car Company at Wolverhampton as a 504b variant but was converted in production to a dual control 504h. It was delivered to RNAS Killingholme AAP for assembly on 27th December 1916 and later transferred to RNAS Redcar on 9th May 1917 where it served with the Flying School. It was repaired following an accident on 21st July 1917 and was returned to service before suffering another accident on 22nd September 1917. There is no record of any repair after this second accident and it was deleted from stock on 5th January 1918 after being assessed in December 1917.
