Armstrong Whitworth Fleet Fighter Reconnaissance FK.13 biplane N513 at Beverley.
This aeroplane was a one-off, built by Armstrong Whitworth at Gosforth, Newcastle it was completed in March 1917. On 7th April 1917 it was in the process of being flown from Gosforth down to Martlesham Heath where it was due to have been assessed and for trials when, during the delivery flight, it suffered engine failure over the East Riding of Yorkshire. It was then subsequently damaged in forced landing at or near Beverley. The serial number was initially allocated for the Armstrong Whitworth "Angus Sanderson" FK.10 quadruplane along with N511, 512 and 514 for RNAS service. N513 was cancelled and the number was re-allocated to this one off FK.13.
