Maurice Farman S.7 Longhorn N5040 near Selby.
During August 1917 this RNAS aeroplane was due to be flown from RNAS Redcar to RNAS Chingford that would presuambly have taken some days in total to complete. It would have presumably have seen service with the RNAS Flying School at Redcar. On 23rd August 1917 it was flying in the Selby area when it crashed and was badly damaged. I have no additional information.
