Maurice Farman S.7 Longhorn N5036 at Redcar aerodrome.

On 6th July 1917 this RNAS Flying School aeroplane was damaged at Redcar aerodrome possibly due to a collision with Longhorn N5035.

Pilot - Name unknown.


Longhorn N5036 was built by Brush E.E. Co. Ltd at Loughborough, England and was delivered to the Central Supply Depot at White City from where it was dispatched by road to RNAS Redcar on 27th November 1916. Here it was assembled, tested and accepted on 11th January 1917. It then joined the RNAS Flying School. On 27th February 1917 it crashed on landing at Redcar and was repaired only to suffer further damage on 6th July 1917. It was later deleted having been deemed beyond repair on 8th September 1917.
